Journey to Excellence Gold Winner for 2018 thru 2023!
Youth Protection Training (YPT) is mandatory training for all registered adult leaders. This required training ensures that we are all aware and agree to abide by the rules that keep our children safe while participating in Cub Scouting.
Upon completion of YPT, leaders are required to send their completion certificate* to the pack225@outlook.com alias. In this way, pack administration is able to track YPT, which must be re-taken every 2 years.
To take YPT training, please follow these steps:
Go to https://my.scouting.org and login (this is the same login you use with Scoutbook). Each parent needs his/her own account.
You will find two icons (one in English, the other in Spanish), and by selecting one of the icons, you will find yourself in the BSA Learning Center, looking at the Mandatory- Youth Protection Training Learning Plan.
There are 4 modules in it and you must complete all 4, they will take a little over an hour.

Bullying V2
YPT Certification Test V2
Once you have finished all four modules, you should receive an email with your YPT Certificate*. Please forward that PDF to pack225@outlook.com.
If you do not, you can retrieve the certificate by going back to the my.scouting.org main site and using the dropdown menu to select "My Training". Once there you will see information about your completion of Youth Protection Training and be able to click on the icon to print the certificate*. Once you click on the icon, you can save the pdf and email it to us.
Please contact pack225@outlook.com if you have any issues accessing or completing YPT or sending us your certificate..
Remember: YPT must be renewed every 2 years.
