scoutbook

Scoutbook is an online tool that our pack uses to track scouts' achievements, awards, and progress through the scouting ranks. Scoutbook is the primary site for our pack and den calendars and also provides pack leaders with roster and contact information for our pack families.  https://scoutbook.scouting.org

A few important points about Scoutbook: 

• Please note that https://my.scouting.org accounts and Scoutbook accounts are linked.  You should use your my.scouting.org account to log in to Scoutbook.  If you change a password on one site, you will need to use the changed password on the other site as well. 

• Every parent should have their own Scoutbook account and keep their contact information up to date.  Parents cannot share a Scoutbook account because it originates with my.scouting.org, where each parent needs to have their own account to do their Youth Protection Training.

• When a scout first joins our pack, the Chief Seatte Council configures a Scoutbook account for the designated "primary parent" based on the information provided in the scout's application. (If a scout is transferring in from a different pack, the Council hooks up the existing my.scouting.org account).  The primary parent will receive a Scoutbook invitation to activate their account.  Please accept this invitation and double-check your and your scout's information.  If you do not receive this invitation and need one, please email:  pack225@outlook.com.

• Once the primary parent has access to Scoutbook, they can provide information to the other parent to create an account.  The primary parent will need to log in and get their scout's BSA Member ID from the scout's information page.  The BSA Member ID is found in the upper-left corner under the Chief Seattle Council badge and pack number.  

For the parent who needs to connect to their child in Scoutbook:

1)  Log in to Scoutbook using your my.scouting.org account.  (If you don't have a my.scouting.org account, you will need to create one first.)

2)  In Scoutbook, click on My Dashboard and then My Account.

3)  Select My Connections.

4)  At the top of the page, select "Connect to your Scout as Parent/Guardian". 

5)  Fill in the BSA Member ID, last name, and child's DOB, and search.

You should now be connected.  If you have any difficulty logging in to Scoutbook or connecting with your child in Scoutbook, please email pack225@outlook.com

For the parent who needs to update address, phone or email in Scoutbook:

All contact information for the pack is kept in Scoutbook.  If you need to update your email, phone, or address use the following steps:

1) Log into https://advancements.scouting.org/profile using your scoutbook or my.scouting.org user account.

3) This is the site where you can adjust your email, address and phone.  You can also print your YPT Certificate from this page.

4) Your children will also be listed on the left hand side.  You should be able to select them and adjust their address by selecting them and then changing from scouts info to personal info in the upper right corner.

5)  As a final step, please notifiy the pack at pack225@outlook.com if you make a change to your information so we can make sure we are using the new information.
